Lady’s mantle

Lady's mantle is a small, unassuming plant which grows by shady paths or hidden in meadows. Every morning, it reveals the beautiful spectacle of its downy leaves covered in sparkling drops of dew. This almost supernatural vision inspired alchemists in the Middle Ages to believe its "heavenly water" had magical powers. It helped them in their quest for the so-called "philosopher’s stone". It also enabled young women to preserve their fresh, youthful appearance. Regarded as a "woman’s grass", Lady's mantle was used in traditional medicine to treat female complaints but also for its soothing and healing properties.
